Is there a quarantine obligation?
No, an entry to Salzburg is possible without quarantine. But regulations can change – Please check before travelling to Salzburg!

Corona ICU Occupancy Measures for Fall 2021

10% (200 used beds in the hospital) expected:
Tightening of controls on measures in place
Antigen testing now only valid for 24 hours
FFP2 mask compulsory (public offices, public transport)
Recommendation FFP2 mask for all also in stores, mandatory for unvaccinated (random checks by police)
3G for events with more than 25 persons
15 % (300 used beds in the hospital) expected:
Night catering (and similar settings), events without assigned seating with more than 500 people: Vaccinated/Genetized (2G).
Antigen tests with self-acceptance (living room tests) no longer valid for 3G
20 % (400 used beds in the hospital)expected:
Every location with 3G regulation, only vaccinated/genetics/PCR test is valid anymore
Restrictions due to opening and closing hours are completely eliminated
No more minimum distance between visitor or guest groups
Visitor group regulations no longer apply
The consumption of food and beverages is no longer permitted only in a seated position at serving stations, but is also possible again in a standing position
No mask obligation (neither FFP2 nor other mouth-nose protection) for guests also in indoor areas
The 3-G rule: Guests still have to show a valid negative test result, proof of vaccination or confirmation of having had COVID-19 (proof of testing is now only required from the age of 12).
The 3-G rule is waived for food and beverage pickup and snack stands (customers must then wear mouth/nose protection indoors, however)
Guest registration requirement: to be abolished as of 22 July

- Registration required if length of stay is more than 15 minutes
- No registration required if mainly outdoors (e.g. zoo)
Museum visits and shops:no entry test required
- FFP2 mask obligation for visitors
- Limitation of the number of visitors: 20m² / visitor
- Minimum distance of 2 meters with persons from different households
- Please familiarize yourself with the rules of each museum and shop.
