God answered the peasants' prayers, and the first Passion Play took place in 1634. Until now, the promise has been honoured. Due to the corona-pandemic in 2020, the Passion Play had to be postponed for two years. The 42nd Oberammergau Passion Play will now run from May 14th to October 2nd, 2022.
